Puerto Rico’s National Team would have their private plane which would bring them back to the island for a party with the people regardless of the results of the final game celebrated last night in the World Baseball Classic (WBC), and that motivated the United States team to rain down on their parade.
In an interview with Greg Amsinger, the American baseball player, Adam Jones, confessed everything. To questions of the reporter of the MLB Network on their post-game speech after the night that the team fell before the boricuas 6-5, Jones took the opportunity to express everything.
‘Should I tell the truth?’ he said for a moment. ‘Before the game, we noticed that there were some champion shirts made that we didn’t do, a flight and a parade and that did not sit well with us’, said Jones, a key player of the North American team.
‘We did what we had to do. (Marcus) Stroman went out and gave us the better plays, the players, and we brought it home (the championship) for the United States ‘, continued Jones in an interview after they were proclaimed champions beating Puerto Rico 8-0.
Nevertheless, in spite of the negative results of the ‘boricuas’, the celebration for Thursday, remained programmed to begin at about 11:30, with a parade which would end in the Conventions Center in San Juan.
