$325,000 for a year, plus traveling expenses. That is the salary for the Revitalization Coodintaror contracted for two years by the Fiscal Control Board (FCB), Noel Zamot.

The former US Air Force Commander signed his contract con July 23 and will be in chargee of identifying, coordinating and accelerating the execution of critical infrastructure projects under Title V of federal lay PROMESA. Likewise, he shall identify all the agencies that play a roll in the approval and development of these projects in order to carry them in an expeditious way. Also, he will guarantee the reports in a timely manner so the public can comment on them.

Amor the requisites to have this position, Zamot has to move to Puerto Rico no later than November and hand in his financial reports before the end of August.

‘I hope that by the end of the year we already have critical projects that have already been identified and the permitting processes are being held with the government. We’re setting up the plane while we fly it,’ Zamot said in an interview with NotiCel this week.

The Coordinator can be part of other non governmental boards. However, he must delegate his duties on Corvus Analytics LLC in 90 days since he can only work a maximum of 10 hours a month in the company he founded without interfering in his position before the FCB or enter into a conflict of interest.

Zamot could be fired immediately after a notification from the Board if he fails to carry his duties, is accused or convicted of a felony, sir he commits any kind of fraud or violates any statute in his contract with the FCB.
