Un terremoto de magnitud 6.9 sacudi\u00f3 la ma\u00f1ana de hoy, jueves, las Islas Kuriles en el noreste de Jap\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El Servicio Geol\u00f3gico de los Estados Unidos (USGS, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) alert\u00f3 sobre el fuerte sismo, a la vez que dijo que pese a la intensidad, no hay aviso ni advertencia de tsunami para la zona, que incluye partes de Rusia.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan informes, el terremoto se sinti\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n en la isla de Hokkaido. Sin embargo, pese a que el sismo fue sentido en varias regiones, el movimiento no fue demasido fuerte, pues el sismo fue a una gran profundidad, espec\u00edficamente a 142 kil\u00f3metros de profundidad.<\/p>\n
