{"id":21779,"date":"2018-06-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-21T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.noticel.com\/cuidate\/la-calle\/top-stories\/vida\/20180621\/empate-los-jovenes-y-los-viejos-en-pr\/"},"modified":"2025-07-16T10:49:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T10:49:09","slug":"empate-los-jovenes-y-los-viejos-en-pr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noticel.com\/en\/noticias\/la-calle\/20180621\/empate-los-jovenes-y-los-viejos-en-pr\/","title":{"rendered":"Empate los j\u00f3venes y los viejos en PR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Seg\u00fan datos del Instito de Estad\u00edsticas.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>El Instituto de Estad\u00edsticas revel\u00f3 hoy, jueves, datos que se\u00f1alan que la poblaci\u00f3n envejeciente de 65 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s igual\u00f3 la poblaci\u00f3n menor a 18 a\u00f1os edad en Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p>Los datos, que presentan el envejecimiento de la sociedad en Puerto Rico, se\u00f1alan tambien una merma en la poblaci\u00f3n menor a 18 a\u00f1os de 24% entre los a\u00f1os 2010 y 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Esta reducci\u00f3n en la poblaci\u00f3n menor ocurre al mismo tiempo en que la poblaci\u00f3n igual o mayor a 65 a\u00f1os edad se ampl\u00eda en Puerto Rico, logrando sumar 15% en el mismo periodo de tiempo en que la poblaci\u00f3n menor merm\u00f3 un 24%.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" embed-content-articleid=\"756498630\" embed-content-groupid=\"593030471\" embed-content-id=\"756498630\" embed-content-imgalign=\"none\" embed-content-index=\"0\" embed-content-location=\"input_story-body\" embed-content-type=\"PHOTO\" src=\"https:\/\/media.noticel.com\/o2com-noti-media-us-east-1\/photo\/2018\/06\/21\/poblacio%CC%81n%20menor_1529597391585.jpg_11998338_ver1.0_640_360.jpg\" style=\"width:100%;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Los datos anteriormente se\u00f1alados a su vez, provocaron que la mediana edad en Puerto Rico aumentara de de 40.8 a\u00f1os en 2016 a 41.6 a\u00f1os en el 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los municipios con la poblaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s envejeciente est\u00e1n: Hormigueros, Rinc\u00f3n y Vieques.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seg\u00fan datos del Instito de Estad\u00edsticas.
