El Partido Nuevo Progresista (PNP) seleccion\u00f3 este fin de semana m\u00faltiples presidentes legislativos: Luis Rodr\u00edguez (Luquillo), Evelyn Aponte (Caguas), Glenn Cintr\u00f3n (Guayama), Isaac Hern\u00e1ndez (Mayag\u00fcez), Tony Montalvo (Arecibo), Bryan Estevez (San Sebasti\u00e1n) y Julio Geigel (Humacao).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geigel fue alcalde de Humacao y Rodr\u00edguez ha dirigido WIPR-TV y la Comisi\u00f3n para la Seguridad en el Tr\u00e1nsito. En ambas ocasiones renunci\u00f3 a los cargos antes para volver a la pol\u00edtica.

Seg\u00fan un comunicado oficial del partido, un total de 8,636 votantes asistieron a las urnas de estas elecciones especiales del PNP para seleccionar el liderato en aquellos municipios donde no prevaleci\u00f3 el PNP durante las pasadas elecciones.<\/p>
